How to place order?

To place order, you can visit hometaste.my

Lau Homecook’s menu includes around 150 dishes. The dishes will be updated on a weekly basis.

The Packages

  1. A La Carte: Portion for 1 pax; Dishes of your choice;
  1. Package A: Meal box for 1 pax; 5 days meal plan or 20 days meal plan; 1 Meat, 1 Vege, 1 Random dish with Free Thai Fragrant Rice (Additional Thai Fragrant Rice is available at RM1.59/pax);
  1. Package B: Selection of any pax; 5 days, 20 days and 40 days meal plan available; 1 Meat, 1 Vegetable, 1 Random dish; Free soup once a week; Charges for rice applicable at RM1.59/pax for Thai Fragrant Rice and RM3.71/pax for Brown Rice; Save more when you order for more pax and more days!

Yes, each package is only valid for 6-month expiration date, which begins on the day you place your order.

Every menu for lunch and dinner is perfectly planned by Lau Homecook .
  1. A La Carte: A La Carte’s menu is updated every 2 weeks
  2. Package A & B: Different menu everyday, menu is updated weekly on Instagram.
The menu for Package A & B are updated weekly. You may check out our Instgram for more information.
*Reminder: Weekly planned menu may be adjusted last minute due to lack of fresh ingredients or special situation. However, we will inform customer regarding the changes of menu on Lau Homecook ‘s social media accounts.
Yes! As long as you inform us before the cut-off time through our Whatsapp +603-86053508 , we will arrange another delivery date for you without charges.
Charges for meals applied for cancellations after the cut-off time as the kitchen have prepared the ingredients for your order.

Changes or cancellation of dishes is only applicable for special situation before cut-off time, replacement dish will be provided base on available ingredients. Do place your remarks before you confirm your order.

Yes! As long as you inform us before the cut-off time through our Whatsapp +603-86053508. If there is change in number of pax and rice, we will adjust the fees based on your request.

We do not provide cutlery by default. If you need cutlery, please request at the check out page.

Lau Homecook uses high quality ingredients to cook, we only use local well known and trusted brands such as Knife Cooking Oil, Sin Tai Hing soy sauce, Cherri Blossom Thai Fragrant Rice and high quality Chinese traditional herbs for every customer to eat at ease.

The Food

Lau Homecook is a Non-Halal meal delivery service.
Throughout the journey, one of the most important tasks is food hygiene. Lau Homecook and Hometaste are committed to educating and supporting the kitchen and riders team on how to prepare and manage orders safely.
We maintain the safety and hygiene of the meals with the team by:
  • Strictly comply with National Food Safety and Quality Division
  • Educate the kitchen on how to correctly prepare and pack the meals following the classes from Ministry of Health.
  • Ensure the riders to check whether the packaging of food is sealed before delivery
  • Make sure every kitchen’s member have typhoid injection.
Food may be kept fresh for longer by properly storing method. Cooked food should not be left at room temperature for more than 4 hours.
Here are some tips for you to keep your food better
  • If you don’t plan to consume the food in following 4 hours, do refrigerate it.
  • Remember to let the dish cools down till room temperature before you refrigerate it.
  • If the food is left at room temperature for more than 4 hours, we recommend to dispose it.
  • Reheat the food in the microwave, oven, or pan. Food must be reheated to at least 70°C in 15 seconds. We recommend that you consume the reheated meal right away.
Lau Homecook does not use MSG.
In order to maintain the quality of food, Lau Homecook have fixed supplier. If lack of ingredients happens, the team would purchase from the market.
We wash and clean all the ingredients properly based on the types of ingredients.

The Delivery

We encourage customers to reduce physical interaction with riders to ensure safety for both parties. You may request the rider to place the meals at specific area.
Gentle reminder: We will not be accountable for the lost of meal upon delivery. We encourage you to collect your meals immediately to prevent this situation from happening.

About Delivery Area

Delivery is free for any Lau Homecook package. RM 3/per delivery is applied for A La Carte orders. Additional charge is applied to orders with specific date and time request.

Default delivery time frame:
Lunch: 11:00am – 1:45pm
Dinner: 4:30pm – 7:30pm

You are encouraged to leave delivery remarks under ‘Note to rider’ section at check out page. For example:
  • Leave the food at reception
  • Deliver to your doorstep
  • Hang the food on the door / Leave the food on the bench
  • Do not ring the door bell
  • Call you when rider is reaching

Lau Homecook’s delivery partner is Hometaste. If there is issue about lack of riders, Lau Homecook will use Lalamove.

About Delivery Instructions

Yes! The rider will send a photo of the meals to you with the time and location as a proof.

Gentle reminder: We will not be accountable for the lost of meal upon delivery.. We encourage you to collect your meals immediately to prevent this situation from happening.

In certain situation, the rider can deliver to your floor/doorsteps.

Do let us know if your building accepts delivery service to your floor/doorsteps. Our team will proceed to examination step before we confirm for deliveries to your floor/doorsteps.

The delivery will be cancelled if the call is not accepted for 3 times or the call is not answered after 10 minutes. In most situations, riders will find the most suitable and safest place to leave your order and inform you the location that your order has been placed.

We encourage customers to leave delivery remarks under ‘Note to rider’ section at check out page to guide the rider to place the meals at specific area.

No, our rider is assigned on daily basis, depending on their attendance.

About Cancellation or Changes

You may change your information before the cut-off time via Whatsapp +603-86053508.

About Delivery Tracking

You may track your order via Whatsapp +603-86053508. We will do our best to deliver your meal soon; please be patient.

Note: Deliveries might be delayed due to weather conditions and the safety of riders is our priority. 

The Payment

Our order platform — hometaste.my accept payment as:
  • e-Wallets
  • FPX
  • Credit Card/Debit Card
  • Bank Transfer (only applicable for orders above RM150)
Reminder: hometaste.my only accept online payment
After payment is done, invoice will be sent to you via email for confirmation.

You may click ‘My order’ in hometaste.my to check your order status and download the receipt by clicking ‘PDF Invoice’

At the checkout page, there will be a column for you to enter the promo code on the right column below your order summary. Enter the promo code and click ‘Apply coupon’; discount will be applied automatically for your current purchase.

You may check on the issues by:
  • Have you logged into your account?
  • Is the promo code inserted correctly ?
  • Has the promo code expired?
  • Is the promo code used?
After payment is done, receipt will be sent to you via email for confirmation.
Or
You may click ‘My order’ in hometaste.my to check your order status and download the receipt by clicking ‘PDF Invoice’.

The Refund

The refunds will be transferred through online banking. Therefore, you need to provide your bank details through Whatsapp +603-86053508  for us to handle this issue. It will usually take around 10 working days to process.
If you didn’t receive your refunds after more than 10 working days, kindly contact us via Whatsapp +603-86053508.
